What is the Aid and Attendance Benefit?
Do You Qualify?

What are the Qualifications for this Benefit?

Generally speaking, for a Veteran or surviving spouse to be considered for the Aid and Attendance Allowance, the Veteran must first meet the following base criteria:

  1. Require the regular Aid and Attendance of another individual or care facility.

  2. Age 65 or disabled.

  3. Have served during one of the major theaters of war.

  4. Have been discharged with anything other than dishonorable status

There are other factors that may affect eligibility, and some financial planning may be involved to meet some of these eligibility requirements. If you meet the above basic requirements, however, we would like to meet with you and discuss your particular situation, determine your eligibility, and if appropriate, file your paperwork to receive the benefit. Most importantly, there is no charge for this service—not to the Veteran, not to the Veteran’s family, and not to the Veteran’s Care Facility.
